Family Facilitating
         is a Personal and Private Education Program
         for Parents and their Young Families

Are there days when you don't know which way is up?
Do you find that what you do with one child does not work with your other children?

Don't you wish your children came with manuals?

Children are all different. They have their own temperaments, personalities, skills, talents, strengths and weaknesses. Parents need to appreciate each child for who he or she is. They also need to understand normal child development and family dynamics so that all family members can have optimal lives.

Everyone can use a little help and advice every now and then. Why not let Cindy help?

Cindy Rzasa Bess, Ph.D is a Developmental Psychologist, who also possesses a Master of Arts degree in General Clinical Psychologist.

In order to meet an expressed demand to support parents in Connecticut's Fairfield Country Coastal communities, she is launching a new program from
The Bess Choice!
called, Family Facilitating.

This is an educational program that is both private and personal for parents of young families. It is NOT therapeutic intervention.

For an hour, I meet with a family and assist them with parenting issues, family dynamics, and discuss typical development that provides insight into each child's experience and understanding.

It is an informational session that allows parents to better understand their child(ren) by comprehending their normal development patterns.

Parents can ask both general and specific questions about their child(ren) and receive suggestions and strategies to promote positive and prosocial development.

Parents can also ask for recommendations regarding parent-specific situations, joint parenting issues and "familying" in general.

For situations beyond this scope, which may require therapeutic intervention, I would make a referral to a specialist in the field.

The fee for this facilitation is $100.00/hour (or part thereof). This program is NOT covered by medical insurance and payment is expected upon completion of services.

This service is restricted to families in the Coastal communities of Fairfield County, Connecticut.
